Today, I saw a bike with poorly routed cables...so I clipped them. Did the user a favor

I appreciate that most are fans but I will stick with my opinion. I’ve just never been a fan of self proclaimed grandiosity

I never saw the red frames in the Suburban Cycle shop, and I thought the pewter frames came along in the 80's. The frame in the Flickr link; looks like it was repainted at some point, no? There are two different headtube decals. The older decals were surface mount-adhesive, and the headtube badge had Chester CT while the newer decal was bare.

Yes it was resprayed by Joe Bell. And yes the decals were buried under clear coat (which I much prefer). This all happened before I acquired the frameset.
The red frames may have predated the pewter but I remember them both from the shop, certainly by the late 70's.

This.

The computer screen creates a veneer that separates us, and causes us to be a little less human.

The same phenomenon occurs when we are ensconced within the metal walls of our motor vehicles.

It is an us versus them ideology that unfortunately has permeated our society.

Man... one dissenting opinion and you'd think that the queen's death thread was revisited. All we need is witcombusa to make a disparaging (or was it a difference of opinion?) comment and bring this full circle.

The Paceline sure loves its royalty, right?

The mention of Suburban Cycle stirred some memories. I recall an individual who worked there, maybe the owner. I think his name was Sam. Good guy I recall.

Does the shop still exist?

In layman's terms, everybody is a tough guy, until they meet one.
