Interestingly, AFL/Footie (Australian Rules Football) kicked their season off last week.

Live games but no spectators in 85,000 seat stadiums.

Just the teams, officials, and TV crew. Interviews are 2-3 meters apart or via cell phone.

It makes for an interesting broadcast, but it is the only live team sport event I am aware of that is still running.

I am glad I’m a fan because reruns of old sporting events and virtual events aren’t doing it for me.

I watch NRL games - and same thing - empty stadiums. Also a buddy of mine is a former pro NRL player and exec, he suspects they will suspend play soon.

Well, that's what Dick Pound says. But the IOC hasn't made it official.

An Olympic Delay Seems Inevitable. Is a 4-Week Decision Needed to Get There? (New York Times)

Really? I guess the players are immune(sarcasm)..and they don't go home, and they don't have at risk relatives..

Ya sure that isn't a US picture, 'What? Me Worry?..completely dumb, irresponsible.

Olympics is toast but consideration and persevering to the limit must be done to appease Mr Abe's backers (moneymen and sponsors). It will be moved to something like Sept 2021 unless US broadcasters insist on July.

OP

Read back a couple. Rustychisel posted they suspended the season.

I was surprised they started and am glad they stopped.

But, as I said, 10 year old F1 races and 2 year old lumberjack competitions aren’t cutting it.

Tour de France officials told local mayors they will decide by mid-May if it’s feasible to hold the race as scheduled — from June 27 to July 19 — while the Vuelta a España officials insist the Spanish grand tour is still on track for August 14 to September 6.
There were 319 new deaths from the coronavirus in France on Saturday. Does anyone believe that things will have returned to normal by early July?
