You really need to shake the Orange Seal bottle thoroughly/vigorously before applying, otherwise it will be too thin and not seal well. Also, maybe the hole in the tire was too big to effectively seal. In my opinion, because of the high tire pressure necessary with road tires, sealant only works well for small holes, like thorns punctures. IMO, tubeless is probably not worth it for high pressure road tires. Regular road tires are cheaper, easier to mount, and using a latex or light butyl tube, may be lighter and have lower rolling resistance.
