No kidding Andrew. I've owned one and actually drove it around the southwest for quite a few years back when Moab was mainly a destination for mountain bikers and the hardcore 4wheel drive crowd.....prior to the Moab Century and Skinny Tire Festival. Seeing the pictures of your LC and Sachs just show how much the region has changed over the years. Have a nice day.

A nice JDM 1989 Toyota Land Cruiser 70 series with a 13B-T 3.4L Turbo Diesel available locally. Nice ride but their pricing seems a bit high to me for 153,000 miles...though the 13B-T TD is rare for this side of the pond.

Well-after a long time I finally found a used LC at a good, well great, price. A 2017 that had been sitting on a dealers lot for a almost 2 years-long story.
It runs great and I've started some mods. I've taken out all but the front seats to have a platform in the back for my wife to sleep on.

Photos to come later as I figure out what all I'm going to do.

they look cool but the engine's a dog. driven a few of them almost bought one about 3 years ago. i saw one with over 300k original miles. it's a reliable engine and can go for another 150 but it's sloowwww wouldn't want to drive it up the tejon pass over 50 mph for fear of it blowing a head so i decided against it. pricing is ridiculous... years ago guy wanted 15k for his with over 300k miles eventually sold it for 10 i think... still overpriced. these days people will pay for than that just for the instagram clout i think. give me an i6 wrangler any day that i can fix it with crescent wrench and a hammer. or a modern gx, much better.

Ughh.....staaahp.....you sound like my 4x buddies.

Two of the guys in my crew I run with (all Monteros btw) have successfully executed SAS and they’re riiiiiidiculous rigs, but I’m still learning and want to work on my driving ability before I take that next step.

But yeah.....it’s inevitable

Sooooo sick

That's awesome! Looking forward to pictures.

I bought some sliders from Metal Tech and I need to get those on my LX470.

Other than a rear locker, sliders are probably the most essential upgrade or mod you can do.

1980 AMC Wagoneer Spicer 44 with Yukon 4.88 gears and ARB locker. Mastermind behind it is fabricator by trade so he did all the work himself. Dude is so good at what he does and he's barely in his 30's.......impressive stuff
