Giro/Camelbak and others owned by ammunition manufacturer.

Posting this here for conversation, popped up on classifieds.

Not sure how to process this info. Particularly comments made by CEO

Conflicted feelings

Mods
Leave this one open for a few minutes and see if we can have an adult conversation for a few pages before the usual suspects shut it down.

I am glad I found this out the other day; I will stop buying any of their products. Plenty of other choices out there.

I stopped eating Oreos too; winning on all fronts

Come on.

Who would buy a Savage. Its like the Huffy of that world.

Why bring this into a bicycle forum.

I fully support the second amendment.

I fully support separating this topic from friendly discussion about bicycle racing.

I found this to be useful information, as did some of my riding friends. It was disappointing to see the original thread locked.

I have an old Savage shotgun and it is really reliable BUT Gun manufacturers that also own BIKE RACING equipment so it really is 'related' BUT to each his own...

This has not much to do with the second amendment..not arguing 'gun rights' here but if you are willing to buy from a bike stuff maker owned by a gun stuff maker.

This will stay open and civil if the discussion is about whether or not you'd buy or boycott...plenty of gun forums if ya want to wade into the 2nd amendment stuff..not here..IMHO

I bet if most of us dug into any of the products or companies we "like" we'd find many things objectionable, or things others deem objectionable.

Ammunition is legal
Firearms are legal
Bicycle pumps are legal
Diversifying a company to maximize revenue is legal (for now)

Giro won't get my business only because their helmets don't fit my head well.

Did any of you do any research into the issue before deciding to join the boycott or are you just joining in based upon a link you saw on the internet? Are you planning to boycott any of the other entities with involvement in the firearms trade? Have you ever ever heard of Cerberus Capital Management?

Yeah, and now I'm going to have to boycott the internet and social media platforms, because the internet and social media are used by Russian trolls to influence the US political system.

In fact, I'm going to start a social media campaign and blast it all over the internet to get people to stop using social media and the internet ... and then ... um ...

Nevermind!

A visit to Vista's homepage should more than enough verify the connection.
