Thats the one, the light on this day was special. i rarely get those kinds of shots, but it does take some pretty good pictures. I point at the screen to focus and use the darken/lighten function that pops up. it almost always needs to be darkened a shade or 2.

This photo is me near the top of the last climb up Hemmingway Dr. in Carlsbad. I joked that it's called Hemmingway because you want to commit suicide near the top.

Agreed. the ocean pic is the classic north shot of the bluffs which typically means the redwoods following are on the Tunitas climb.

If there is a re-do, suggest checking out the Lobitos section of road, you can make a "loop" off and then back on to Tunitas

Exactly. I started in Woodside, went out to the coast via Old La Honda, then came back via Tunitas Creek Rd. Thanks for the tip re Lobitas. I’ll check that out next time.

There is a Y intersection after the bike hut before the tunitas climb starts. i would take that rather than Hwy 1 to get to Lobitos. it takes you to the farm where there is a hay bale maze, then behind the fake western town (blazing saddles) then some down then up. but you are way back into nowhere almost like it probably was 100 years ago. Lobitos comes into Tunitas about where the houses stop. It adds some elevation but its nice back there and worth it if you have the time.

FWIW I always buy a few ginger cookies at the san gregorio general store. YUM! and, love your Look!
