Pegoretti derailleur hangar?

Does anyone know what rear derailleur hangar will fit this old aluminum Pegoretti?

Frame has seen quite a few miles but I'd like to get it back on the road if possible.

Looks like some of the Wheels MFG hangars might fit? I emailed them to ask as well but no response yet.

Maybe this? https://wheelsmfg.com/derailleur-han...-hanger-1.html

Would love any insight from anyone who has faced this. Thanks!

The one you linked sure does look close. I'm surprised wheels does not give at least some basic dimensions of the hanger so you can get a better idea. If they just give you the diameter of the round part that should give you a little more confidence to give it a shot.

I love seeing old bikes brought back to life!

Is that an 8:30?

Please do take us along for your rebuild!

This bike is kind of a crazy story. A buddy of mine got crashed into on a group ride and the whole rear triangle was bent. Any rear wheel would rub the chainstay.

So, figuring the frame was unrepairable, because it's aluminum, he gave it to me. I dished an old track wheel so it wouldn't rub and ran the bike as my bar bike for years. I thought it was hilarious to have a Pegoretti running SS with a singleator.

Not that anyone in the world cares what a Pegoretti is or even what a bike is. But nevermind.

After a few years I thought, you know, let's give this a shot. So I sent it off to Dario via Gita just to see if they could maybe fix it. Turns out they could!Cost me a couple hundred bucks but it was good as new geometry wise. They also asked me if I wanted all the paint fixed but I said no. I wish now I'd had that done. Or had them just freestyle something on it maybe.

I built it up with record 11 and rode it for a couple years but I started to kinda feel bad that I had my buddy's repaired frame and he didn't. So, I said if he split the money I spent getting it fixed I'd give it back to him.

After that he either sold it or gave it away. Really wish he'd let me know if he was going to do that but, you know, we're all busy with life and whatnot. I missed that damn frame for years.

Lo and behold, couple days ago, I see it pop up on Craigslist. I'm still one of those people trolling CL all the time.

I email the guy fast as I can, I say I definitely want it. Turns out I already know him anyway. So I got my frame back! And this time it's really mine.

Now I just gotta get this hanger sorted and she'll be back in bidness.

It was 2014, but Gita sold me one when I needed a hangar for my Fina Estampa. The hangars they carried at the time are in the attached picture, looks like you would be 'Type 2'?

Note that I initially reached out to Dario and he kindly referred me to Gita.

The email I used was info@gitabike.com, but again... its been 10 years.
