Belts are so last century. Suspenders are where it’s at!

No seriously, filson leather damn good but I’ve got both a gap and a timberland leather belt that are 20 yrs old respectively and I’m still not dropping trou.

Recently bought a Patagonia nylon and it is also very nice…thick soft webbing and doesnt budge once on.

The last belt I bought at Costco. Probably the best quality leather belt I have ever purchased. Wasn't cheap but great quality. This was several years ago so don't know what they offer today at their warehouses.

FWIW I use 25 or 30mm belts for backpacking and everyday wear.

+1. I've had a Bison for almost ten years and I've worn it almost everyday since retirement six years ago. It still looks new! I wish all products could be this good.

Great leather belts

I didn’t read everything so sorry if this is a repeat

Hank’s belts are pretty amazing - USA made

Their budget stuff feels a bit lightweight but their regular stuff is very solid.

A FB pop up ad from Hanks is what kicked this whole thing off for me...I was wondering if someone would mention them...

Thanks!

About every decade or so, I stop at Henry's shoe repair in Ely, MN.

Our family has a place in town and another on the Kawishiwi flowage on the edge of the BWCA.

They custom craft moose-hide belts, wallets and winter gloves/mittens.

Unfortunately Henry passed about a decade ago, but Florencia does a beautiful job to this day.

I never wear out a belt, but I do hand them off to friends and family.

Gives me an excuse to buy a new one or two.

I have 3 of the Hank’s belts

The Everyday is just OK. The Legend is a bit better with jeans and such.

I also have a Gunner, which would hold up an elephant and last forever.

I have a Bison belt with the composite buckle that is great for not having to take your belt off for the TSA. It weighs nothing too.

However it does seem to slip.

Being a cyclist I have lots of trouble with my pants/shorts wanting to fall off.

I looked at the Grip 6 stuff but decided it didn't look right/looked overhyped.

My wife got me a Mission Belt with the 1/4" ratcheting design.. that is my favorite since I got it. It's excellent in that it's so fine adjust you can always get it just right even if you're cycling too much and dropping weight... and it never loosens. It is kind of a big/heavy/tank-like belt though.

Anything with the standard 1" holes I always seem to have some point in the year I can't get it quite right and my pants are not staying up.. I always end up punching extra holes.

As an FYI...this thread has cost me about $350 so far. Allen Edmonds and Bison are the big winners.

I guess I was overdue for updating my belt collection!

...I do love Patagonia kit, so I think I'm not done yet...and the Patagonia has a neat additional use... (not actually useful for me, as I'm only drinking Athletic Brewing beer now, on advice of Dr, and that beer comes in cans...) I can always be ready to help out a bud, so to speak...

You need to look into the Reef Bottle Opener Sandals.

Looks like you’ve got to lay on your right side to not make a mess.

Finally broke down and bought one of these. Oof, $35 for a fabric belt. Works great though.

Whoa, that's good reliability. Mine isn't near as old but it's solid. Worth the $
