I’m planning a new build for next spring and thinking heavily of WTO 45 Disc. Please keep the feedback coming.

Not Bora, but the Fulcrum Speed 40 DB is the same rim (but in a 40) if you want between the 33 & 45. I ride in a windy/hilly area and was on 55's w/bladed spokes and was getting pushed around - then went to a 50 w/bladed spokes and same result. Chucked them both and the Speed 40 DB is great. Spokes are not bladed (not sure about Bora's) and I don't feel any loss of RR or stiffness. Plus, CX-Rays / bladed spokes are heavily over-rated for every day riding (IMO).

Check out this YT video on the subject of 45 vs 33s. At 3:45 one guy on his team gives his reasons for preferring the 33s. That matches my impressions. I don't race and was only concerned with feel and reliability. The Bora WTOs are well worth the money IMO.

If you want more; here is his earlier review of the Bora WTOs in general.

AND they Fulcrum Speed 40 DB wheels are lighter and a bit cooler. They also have a carbon front hub.
