Ya. All good now. Gracias.

And yes, still drinking (too much) beer. But slowing my roll so I can drop them stressy covid/beer lbs.

Yeah, but at least the shorts can be seen while JRA. There's a zero bling factor to a tube.

$200 shorts if you buy from the right brands will last a lot longer than $100-150 ones from the wrong brands.

Not quite the same thing unless these tubes last a really really long time.

Can't say I would bite on this, but I still think it's a small thing to be splurging on and not a big deal.

Tires have gotten so good it's become increasingly common for me to wear tires out without ever getting a flat... so I wouldn't really feel terribly bad about putting these tubes on a blinged out bike.

I'd be willing to bet these $37 jobs have higher rolling resistance than good old fashioned latex tubes AND are more prone to flats.

They say they are less prone to flats. Someone will try them and tell us.

I wish I felt more comfortable going tubeless on my road bike.

They aren't the first to market this type of polyurethane tube. Schwalbe has one, the Crr results are in the attached link. Better than I expected but still worse than latex and these results come from a track, on real road...?? Interesting how slow the Schwalbe Ultralight tubes are in this test, mirrors my results. They are dogs for many reasons.

Are these tubes made by Turbolito? If not, than the Turbolito patch kit recommended above probably won't work. This article says the Pirelli tubes aren't repairable https://www.cyclingweekly.com/news/n...ard-inner-tube

"Pirelli says none of its three SmarTUBES can be repaired – “replace if tube or valve is damaged” – is the advice. By contrast Tubolito and Schwalbe Aerothan can be patched."

I've introduced my son to cycling, golf, and fly fishing. He will be poor.

Article also says:

"The P Zero and Cinturato SmarTUBEs can be used with rim or disc brakes whereas the Scorpion SmarTUBE is disc only."

I am wondering how a tube is affected by brake type? Heating of the rim I guess.....
