I’ve been thinking about bumping up 2T. Did you by any chance try with 42 and comment on the difference?

I can't wait till they start bringing back 2X and 3X on MTBs and market it as reducing the moment of inertia on the rear wheel so you can "spin up" faster.

I had no idea at all this had gotten to the point they were basically installing road bike big rings as cogs. My mind is literally blown.

Not going to happen. Getting rid of the FD has substantially improved rear suspension designs to the point where there is no going back.
