Near crash to ultimate win.

Honor the jersey.

Ready for Giro-Tour double.

If MvdP wants to win this race, he’ll probably have to set it as a primary goal and sacrifice chances at the earlier monuments. As Tadej just demonstrated.

As one of the commentators pointed out; he did a Babe Ruth, told folks what he was going to do, where he was going to do it….then did it!

the women's race was an absolute banger, maybe the best race of the year so far.

Wow is all I can say.

Tadej Pogacar is breaking legs like a Jersey loneshark with an aluminium bat That kid is one of my all times favorites, and that's going a ways. Mathieu van der Poel is another, great job by both, including Bardet for 2nd.

Speaking of the finish and the field sprint for 3rd, one rider just about crashed hard into the barriers, one heck of a save, at speed. The footage of the big crash showed a rider hitting other riders and/or the motorcycle on the right side of the road. It looked like he took a shot to the groin when his bike stopped but he didn't. Just after that, you could see him bent over in some serious pain next to the barn/structure on the right side of the road. I hope all of them, including the fellow who hit the traffic barrier, are OK.

I like Tadej's chances for a double this year.

Unreal

This was a seventh win in just 10 days of competitive racing for Pogacar this year.

OMG. Wow.

I dig how Pogacar's racing. I just wish we had the chance to see more top favorites in top form compete this spring.

Yes it would have been awesome to see Remco and Primoz in the race.
Not saying Tadej wouldn't have won but maybe it would have been a bit more exciting.
Also great ride by Bardet.

Agreed, but why did Lidl chase down Brand in the break? I guess for ELB, but Brand isn't just a run of the mill domestique.

I have no problem with Lidl-Trek chasing Brand, she was yo-young off the back and cracked soon after. I am over the moon about Grace Brown's win. What a finale!

Vollering did not look happy on the podium. I think she launched her sprint too late, as she had the legs.

I dunno; I wouldn't mind a race where MVdP or Tadej didn't just ride away with 30-60k to go. Its impressive, but dull. IMHO.

W's race was spectacular. Tadej was off the front and the hook. Nuts
