Chicagoland Paceline Ride - Post Corona

Hi all,

Hope everyone is sane and staying safe. Putting this out there to toss around ideas for a Chicagoland ride once the dust settles. Obviously a big region and could certainly include southern Wisconsin etc.

I was thinking an early morning meet-up with coffee and donuts and ride (40-50 miles?) including a solid lunch stop.

Option A - Meet just north of the city in Evanston or Wilmette and ride north to Lake Forest or Lake Bluff.

Option B - Meet out west near fox river and ride some variation of roads and paths.

Option C - Drive to Lake Geneva or LaGrange Wisconsin and do a loop.

I'd love to hear what anyone else has in terms of ideas. Mine are just suggestions to get the conversation going.

Be well and be safe, ride bikes.

Charlie

Great idea...and plan!

I wouldn’t mind riding in a new area or familiar streets. Have bike rack and will travel.

I’d be up for option C as I’m pretty far North already.

I'm in. I've been wanting to do a Metra > Fox River Trail > Prairie Path > City/DPRT long ride sometime soon.

“I’d be up for something non-competitive”, said the chubby newly local guy. I’ll monitor this space.

Naperville , IL. It’s closer to my work. I live in a nice, functional ‘burb. Not my first choice, especially for cycling, but so far it’s been working well for me otherwise.
