Great looking bike.
Question about the brake set-up. The minimoto front / touring canti rear seems o be a popular combination. Is there a reason why you wouldn’t use a minimoto at both ends?

Thanks

That said, canti on the rear is plenty for off-road in my experience. |

These frame also don’t have a housing stop for the rear brake so you need to run a canti out back

easily solved though with a hanger if that's the way you want to go.

That's even nicer than mine IMO, guessing it must be older because of the steel fork? Those seat stays almost look like Dave Kirk did them.

A red Swisscross is such a classic bike. Kudos! Looks really fun too!

as far as I remember the SwissCross started it's career in terms of being featured in a Ritchey catalogue back in 1997 - right
http://ritchey.vintagebicycledatabas...1997/index.php the very same year they also had a softtail MTB that used the Moots YBB technique .... the 1997/98 catalogue then brought us the "Plexus" rear end on MTB and SwissCross frames but I do not know for how long that stayed in production ??? https://www.steelfightsback.com/ritchey/plexus-1996/ ![]()
