Pinarello Cyclocross Bike: Late 1990's? Event tubing

I just acquired this late 90's to early 2000's Pinarello cyclocross race bike! It is STIFF (well compared to the ultralight tubing i typically ride), quick as a fox. It has Pinarello Event tubing which seems to be one of their high level house tubesets, perhaps made by Dedaccia. Does anyone have info on this particular bike or Pinarello Event tubing?

A strange feature, it has a left downtube shifter braze on but not a right. No signs its been removed, and pics of this same model online show the same left only. Why could this be?

Frame number is L7702, and "8" all on its own

This looks cool, looking forward to someone chiming in with some info.

My Voodoo Loa (~'97/8) also has a left braze on only and it's very far forward on the down tube which was odd to me. In another discussion someone suggested it was likely specifically for a barrel adjuster, because in-lines weren't yet common (available?), to aid in indexing the front...but why wouldn't the rear have needed the same I wondered? Ah ya, right, the rear derailleur would have that provision.

Anyway I mounted a DT shifter on the boss for shifting my double and am running a gevenalle lever set (shifter on the right only) which handles the 11spd rear...it's a blast.

I started racing in ‘96 and those things were all around.
It’s a cx race bike, no dt shift mount, because it would have been built for barcon or STI. Also, how you gonna have dt shift bosses with TT cable stops?

Those are exactly my thoughts, yet there is a dt braze on 🤷🏻*♀️ The bb is drilled for a nylon cable guide so the fd could be set up DT. But why?

Mine has top tube cable guides and a down tube boss but the cable routing on the Loa is pretty odd ball and one of my favorite things about it.

Early STI front deraileur stops for dt shift bosses had this little 2 position switch that i never wuite understood as a kid, but people must have used them?
The Carbon/Ti Raleigh mtb frames that Tomac raced had one of those guys mounted up on the TT, which has always been credited to the season JT ran drops on his Yetis. Maybe an early Durace STI user can tell us why? I always had 105 as a kid
