Well in this case it was a Veloce 9 speed 13-26 cassette. You drop the largest cog and in this case I used the spacers off the old Campagnolo 8 speed cassette. In the past I've use conversion spacers I got off a guy on Facebook and I had a conversion kit that was either by Campagnolo or Wheels manufacturing. I can't remember for sure.

I prefer to use a Veloce 13-28 cassette as you then wind up with a 25T big cog. I couldn't find one this time so I had to get a 13-26 that left me with a 23T big cog.

I've done this on at least 3 other bikes.

Angry,
This is the best picture in James's portfolio of the unique Gianni Motta seat stays, they are set parallel to each other or the same distance apart from the seat tube until the brake bridge. Likely some previous frame builder has used this design at some point however not with the same sold numbers and success as Gianni Motta bicycles. I believe all their Personal frames incorporated this modification.

And here is another picture of them from the side.

And these also.

Ugh! The one on the far right is the paint scheme I hunted for in my size for years. One finally showed up a couple of weeks after I got this one. Figures, LOL!

Here's another shot of the seatstays before the build.

Those parts could not have found a better home! That's a full three-banana ride! Enjoy!!!

Finally got in the "proper" saddle for this. Also put on some Keo pedals to finish the bike up at 21 lbs, 4 ozs.
