Because tubeless is better

IMO, tubeless is probably not worth it for high pressure road tires. Regular road tires are cheaper, easier to mount, and using a latex or light butyl tube, may be lighter and have lower rolling resistance. https://www.renehersecycles.com/myth...s-roll-faster/

I use 25's, at that. Dreaded "high pressure road tires". Must be the amulet I wear that keeps me flat free

What a dumb concept.

Sealant sprayed on my bike and it's super hard to get it off.

Please don’t link to the rene herse bs. They seem to have found a market for providing alternative facts for contrarians and curmudgeons kind of like the infowars of bikes.

Everyone living in reality knows tubeless tires are faster and get less flats.

Anyway, what is the artwork above the bike? That piece and the bike each look very nice.

aha, thanks, I use the gp5k 32s on light gravel/road mix all the time. Did get a couple cuts (that turned out to not matter) on some really flinty stuff, but I wouldn't consider that "light" gravel.

The link you posted doesn’t say tubeless tires are faster. If sealant works then less flats. If not (and it happens), I'd rather deal with a tube flat than messy sealant all over the place. I know people that went back to tubes after one instance of sealant spraying all over and having to deal with messy sealant when needing to put a tube in. Then there's dealing with the difficulties of mounting/removing tubeless tires; especially Continental 5000 TL tires.

For F's sake, ride what you think works best.

But please, fewer, not less, flats.

(I once pointed out this grammatical error to the nice people at Trader Joe's and was surprised that some weeks later they corrected it.)

If we had fewer users on the forum there might be less silliness...
