My bike at TTown before lots of other people showed up. May go with a different bar and stem, and the different chainrings are different styles, but most of it won't change; it's just fine tuning. I think the bike is above me anyway, it's just personalization at this point, for ergonomics, aero, fit. Eventually will have some kind of TT bar set up as well. It's difficult with the drop necessary - either a weird stem or a massive drop base bar. I have an adjustable stem to get the base bar to the right height but it's so flexible I think it'd be hard to keep the bike tracking straight when doing starts. This is a workhorse bike like my others, not meant to be coddled, so nothing on it that's not functional. Changes since this picture - straps on pedals, stiffer lower stem, SRM now mounted under saddle (I was carrying it in a pocket until then), and a move toward larger gears overall (51x15 in this picture, now running bigger gears, last two gears I ran for events was 54x14, 56x14). Future changes planned - different length cranks (170-> 175), narrower longer and slightly lower set up for bars, and improve the engine lol. |

This thread has had some endurance, and it is one of the best threads on the internet. Thank you Ergott!

I could spend all day in this thread...
And I'm still so jealous of you folks with local or "local" velodromes. Closest to me is Dick Lane in ATL, which is 6 hours away. |
