6800 FD set up

I have a 6800 front derailleur on a braze-on mount on my CAAD 12.
I cannot get the trim to work.
I have set up a 5800 and 6800 band-on with no problems, including the trim the four settings on the shifter: Low, Low Trim, High Trim, High. I'm wondering if it has something to do with the orientation of the cage relative to the fd tab on the frame.

Does anyone have any insight? Is there something I forgot to do or need to do.

Did you install the frame plate and set up the bracing screw? Read and follow the tech doc EXACTLY.
