and yes, he did seem soft in the middle for a pro... maybe its just that color on him?
Sagan seems to have a lil jiggle in the middle too. Im down with it. Should classics riders have 6 packs?

I'm no fanboy, but even to a relatively uneducated eye, it was pretty obvious that whether it was due to frustration at being relied upon to pull or a nice gesture toward Kreuziger, he had plenty left.
Kreuziger had nothing to do with it. He didn't want to drag Valverde and Alaphillipe to the line if they weren't going to do any work. Alaphillipe especially looked particularly strong in the last 20k. Which is fine tacitcal sense to make, but this notion of the World Champion's bottomless magnanimity to his former teammate is absurd.

But sure, whatever validates some absurd view of the public persona of people's favorite bike ridah evah.

Snark in the last paragraph aside, I concur with your tactical assessment. Sagan's paid to win races. He most certainly would not (IMO) gift a classic race to a former teammate. Sagan, Valverde, and Alaphillipe marked each other while the winning move disappeared up the road. That's racing. Again, hat's off to Astana. They placed two strong riders in the final selection of the race. They had the tactical advantage and used it well.
