New to Me: Firefly ff65 - XCR

According to my friend, we seem to be hitting the golden age of rim brake bikes coming up for sale. I was lucky enough to grab this off of eBay with a local pick-up in Boston area.

Firefly 65 - Max-profiled XCR stainless tubing. BSA threaded BB, classic 1 1/8" headtube (with polished FF headbadge). Campy Record 11 throughout, HED Belgium with White Ind T11 hubs.

Excuse the low-budget stem, working on getting fit dialed. Initial ride on the XCR is sublime (also, the 1st campy-equipped bike I've owned).

wow, gorgeous in every way! Stem looks fine too. I dont get $400 stems, personally. If theyre of reasonable weight and stiffness and they wont break, who cares about carbon, etc??? A nice alloy $40 stem goes a long way towards other details that I care about on my bike!

Man, lovely bike. Disk breaks are great and all, but I'm down for a great bike like this with rim breaks any day. Right on.

Nice find.

Just put down the deposit on a FF build today. Current plan is to build it up as 12-speed Campy rim brake.

Enjoy your new ride.

A couple updates - 1st to match the FF stem and seatpost.

Then to go full-campy. I am really surprised with the Boras!

Really loving the ride on this bike and find myself grabbing it off the hook more and more.

That looks absolutely fantastic. Small tubes with carbon hoops is always a winner.

Enjoy that beauty.
