Handlebar Tape

Haven't bought new handlebar tape in years mostly due to just not riding enough. Always liked Lizardskin. What's good? What's new?

I just had to make the same decision.
Went with Enve due to good reviews and extra cushioning.
Just received it and it looks nice, have not installed yet.

Enve

I like the ENVE tale as well cushioned, lasts, and one of the longer rolls i've used, so wider, or more ergo shaped bars don't have the 'tape too short' issue...

Just installed Lizard Skin on a new bike, love it. They have many thicknesses available. Like it so much, I'll put it on my other bike soon.

I've really liked Fabric the last few years.

It kind of reminds me of Lizard Skin, but you can stretch it like traditional tape and if anything it lasts even better than Lizard Skin.

I believe the one I have is Fabric "Knurl" it has a Silicone backer.

I have Lizard Skin on my gravel bike. It's functionally good. I just don't like the way it looks.

I've used and like Enve tape, Silca, and Supacaz. They're all good and I buy whichever is on sale in black.

Zipp service course. Black or white. Smooth or bumpy. $20. Brilliant.

Just put some Enve tape on after reading lots of recommendations. Install was a breeze with quite a bit of stretch. Feels nice and hopefully it wears well.

If you like Lizardskin, I think you will really like the Supacaz Supersticky Kush stuff. It's like Lizardskin, but I find it even more pleasant to the touch, particularly in the thin and mid versions. The thick stuff is good for gravel.
There are plenty of other good options from brands like Enve, Silca, Zipp, and Easton (among others, I'm sure) --and the Giant brand stuff that always comes on my TCR's is fanastic -- but Supacaz is easily #1 for me. Lots of nice designs and color options to choose from, too. Just be aware that some of the more shiny blingy colors won't have the same feel as the more basic stuff.

Just finished wrapping the enve tape. Probably the easiest install I have ever done. Has a nice feel to it and is noticeably thick.

I really like the cheapest tape I can find. Particularly the $6/pair stuff. Since I don't GAF about it, it lasts forever. I always wear gloves so feel doesn't matter

+1 on this stuff. Black on one bike, red on another because I liked the first so well. A little tricky to tuck the ends in the bars because it’s kind of thick.
