Yolonda Neff out for the Olympics???

Yolanda Neff was in a serious MTB accident over the holidays biking in Pisgah. She wrecked into a fallen tree with a lot of spiked limbs. Resulting in a broken rib, collapsed lung and punctured spleen. I assume she was gourded. The Doctors almost removed her spleen to save her life but were able to stop her internal bleeding through an embolism procedure.

As one of the Olympics favorites for female XC MTB this is even more painful news. I cannot imagine the disappointment she must be feeling along with all the pain. Heartbreaking...

Pisgah is rough. Have some friends from Charlotte who have gotten some nasty injuries up there.

Yeah, I think this has to count her out of the 2020 running.

She may recover sooner than you think. Athletes like her are tough and resilient.

Yeah, but fitness is the issue I would guess. The woman’s XC has a very competitive field.

I'm going to hope she's back for the Olympics, but I think it's a long shot. Women's XCO is so good when Jolanda, Pauline, Jenny, Kate, Annika et al are healthy on the start line.
