How do you store your bikes at home (pics please)

I'm going to move all of my bikes into my workshop. I don't think the top tube holders will work (space), so I'm probably going to move to a "hang 'em by one wheel" method. Anything creative I can do to minimize them swinging around? What do folks here do with their collections (other than ride them and wipe them down with a soft cloth)?

The nice one lives here.

The most used ones are on similar racks in the garage.

The “extras” are just propped against the basement wall.

This is how its done in my basement work area. Hang them by the wheel. Where i have extra space ill use a gravity rack. Usually housing the bikes i use the most. For the garage, where i keep my commuters. They are hung upside down by the wheels.

I just dedicated a room to them and then started getting more creative as I ran out of space.

Here I put some old, wrong sized, handlebars to use:

This reminds me that I "need" more bikes and a bigger house for properly storing them.

I have 5 bikes and a 918 sq ft condo that I share with my wife, dog and 2 cats.

I use 2 of these in the condo...https://theartifox.com/products/rack-walnut

2 bikes are stored in a dedicated bike storage locker that the County of LA rents cheaply. It’s located walking distance from where I live. The fifth bike is stored in a riding buddies 3 car garage.

My storage system is definitely uninspiring. I am just starting to househunt for a new place and better bike storage is in the new house criteria. My previous house, I had only 5 or 6 bikes and I hung them by the wheel in the basement and it worked fine.

@jamesdak - did you use a pipe flange for the handlebar hangers? I’ve thought of doing that myself.

A couple of thoughts:
1) it's perfectly safe to hang a bike every which way and that given that 20 lbs is miniscule compared w/ daily stressed a bike is supposed to take?

2) That being said, is it better to hang a bike by the rear wheel putting stress on the rear triangle, vs. front wheel/fork?

3) is it safe to hang a frame, i.e w/ wheels off, via the front triangle? or is that bed for the head tube welds?

Yep and then a short coupler to give the stem room to mount and lock down.
