Me too! Ordered Oct 5 and $2500 bike parts sitting in Frankfurt. BIke 24 says it can take 3 weeks to clear customs. When I ordered they said 5-10 days delivery to US. I wanted to build up another bike frame I've got before the season ends, but not looking likely. I'll never order from them again.

I've had a good experience with DHL and Bike24, as well as other sellers in the EU/UK.

The biggest difference from the DHL side is the Express versus normal service. With DHL Express, it's super fast as the package completely moves within the DHL Logistics side.

The DHL normal service moves the package to the national carrier of the country it departed, and then it's handled by the local carrier (USPS, Canada post, etc), this seems to take a bit longer (10-14 days).

I'd rather wait a few weeks on a DHL delivery, than getting slapped with an insane brokerage fee for customs clearance by UPS or FedEx.

My one interesting DHL experience recently was with a vacation & rescheduling. The package was scheduled to be delivered while I was away, and I rescheduled a to a date way in the future (return date was not known at the time). When I got home I rescheduled again for the following day. No-show that day, no-show the next, and it took a couple of days of calling and trying before the package got delivered. That said, when I called, I talked to actual employees at the actual location the packages get loaded for delivery, which is different from when you call either of the big two. Two of the employees were super helpful, and one was quite rude. It eventually got sorted out. But my one piece of advice would be try not to make their lives too complicated - the double-reschedule broke something on the process side.

i like using dhl for overseas discogs orders. i can get an lp from japan to my front door in 4 days. almost 7 days for a package from indonesia to get to my door. on the flipside to that a discogs order shipped from germany via dhl took almost 3 months.

Update:
Ordered my Fulcrums on Tuesday afternoon last week, they were in NYC and cleared customs by 8 am on Thursday. On Friday morning they arrived in Boston, where they sat over the weekend and now the status says Shipment Is On Hold. Wondering if this means they lost them in Boston...

This was DHL Express by the way.

Anyway, original estimated delivery date was this coming Thursday, and then it was updated to tomorrow. I'd be happy with the Thursday delivery, it's gonna rain a bunch here for the next two days anyway!

Update 2:
Now I know I'm screwed - it says Forwarded to Third Party Agent. I hope it's not the USPS!

Just want to close the loop on a few things for my order...

1) To be fair to Bike24, on their website and the product order page, they did state that delivery time to USA is 10-14 days. I always take that as an estimation, not a hard and fast number. My order came in within that window.

2) USPS did the "last mile" and delivered to my doorstep.

3) My delivery method is DHL Normal, not Express.

Since I have a PO Box and don't get mail at my street address, I wonder where my wheels will be going!

All of the things I have ordered in recent history that were shipped with DHL were ultimately transferred to USPS and they made the final delivery.

Yet another update: I got a call from a local shipper, Cape Cod Express, asking if the wheels can be delivered today. Woo-hoo! And thank goodness not the USPS..
