Stranger things have happened, as long as Bielsa stays.

Oh holy s***!!!
Even Sarri managed better than this. Out of the Champions League and at least seven point adrift in Serie A... C'mon Atalanta, win the Coppa Italia! Last edited by echappist; 03-09-2021 at 04:50 PM. |

That was a great game. The most deserving team came out a head even when facing an early red card (for kicking away the ball ***..)

Was CB7 (crybaby) fouled by keeper? The wall tried to avoid being hit by the ball - yikes. Announcer - the Old Lady has expired! |

You are going about it the wrong way. First you have to see who the referee is, when you know its kuipers u also know you are in for a great match (unless you are emotionally invested in the game in which case you could need a defibrilator) with a penalty and likely a red to spice things up. |

Update: Laporta seems to be willing to spend a lot of money he doesn't have on Alaba. Him and Zahavi are said to have reached a verbal agreement, to become effective as soon as Laporta takes over.

Sheer madness. Arent the directors themselves on the hook for any losses incurred by the club? And they go head first to saddle the club with more financial obligations?

So can Barca turn around a 4-1 defeat?
I doubt so but messi have been firing again lately and psg always seem shaky when under pressure. Can Barca get 2 in before 65th i say game on. I can see psg thinking of the last time that happen and crumbles out of fear of a repeat .) ? Think they scored 6 that time ha. |

It is tradition for new club bosses in Spain to offer one or a few high profile signings as a welcome gift (There is also talk about Haaland) to soothe supporters (and in this case, I suspect, even more important to keep Messi happy). Messi wants to have a good team behind him, but he also doesn't like to be challenged as the alpha of the team. These two might fit the job description, to be fair. Still, Alaba is very used to winning silverware and Haaland will pick his next employer also on chances of winning titles etc, and I don't know if the current Barca fits that profile, the name only carries so far.

The Zlatan thread has expired many moons ago, so I am piggybacking here on Jim's calcio thread.
Sweden comeback for Zlatan: 'The return of the God' By Football Italia staff Sweden announced Zlatan Ibrahimovic has returned to the national team ahead of the World Cup Qualifiers and the veteran confirmed. ‘The return of the God’. Coach Janne Andersson announced the list of players for the games against Georgia, Kosovo and Estonia in March and the first two are in the World Cup qualifiers for Qatar 2022. Ibrahimovic has been called up by Sweden and returns to the national squad for the first time since Euro 2016. “The return of the God,” the Swede wrote on Twitter. The former Sweden captain made his debut in January 2001 and has played 116 games for his national team, contributing 62 goals in the process. |
