2021 Amstel Gold

I don't want to spoil it for anyone, but the mens race could not have been closer.

Holy cow! That was exciting. I didn’t expect the guy that was sitting second wheel to have that kind of power.

FYI, he's only 21 years old.

And only 128 lbs. (according to several cycling websites). Appears to have a phenomenal power/weight ratio.

He's also a top CX rider, but I don't know if there's any correlation between that and his power/weight ratio.

Yes this side photo type should never be shown
It is the overhead shot that counts as a sideline shot is very deceptive

Same with Demi Vollering a few days back at Brabantse Pijl Dames

BTW: The Womens Amstel Gold today was just as exciting with Kasia Niewiadomas attack a couple clicks out

Longo-Borghini must have gone hypoxic while following Niewiadoma's move on the Cauberg. Only reason I could think of for why she didn't pull. After all, she was perfectly content with driving a doomed break at Gent Wevelgem, where the other rider didn't give a single meaningful turn.

Yeah I was wondering what the deal was...Thought maybe she was holding up for a teammate ,,,,,but then she did jump at 300m

Demi Vollering has been on a real streak lately too

That was very strange indeed. Obviously Elisa thought that Kasia would beat her in a sprint but still....
