So if Kyrie's unhappy about it, I wouldn't blame him. I was left scratching my head too.
Certainly can never overlook skin color. OTH, Nash has an incredible NBA pedigree. And, it’s not like other NBA coaches with limited resumes haven’t made their marks.

Also, Kyrie might not be the most authoritative source on team chemistry.

Riley took over a team that had already won an NBA title, and was an assistant on that title team. He and Magic supposedly orchestrated the ouster of Westhead, but Riley's reputation for being rather Machiavellian since is well-earned.

Kerr had spent six years as a GM in Phoenix.

Nash was a part-time consultant with the Warriors for, what, two years? Wasn't even an assistant coach. It seems like he got the job because he was KD's buddy.

Which, in the Nets' defense is a perfectly good reason for him to be the coach. If KD says "I'm coming, but I want this dude to be coach", you do it so long as the hire is within the realm of not totally crazy. KD's that good.

Oh 100% agreed. But let's not act like it's on the merits of the fact the guy ran a good pick and roll. Those Suns teams never even made a Finals.

Tough crowd, lol.

Suns fans will point to the infamous Horry hip check in the playoffs.

Not a bad debut for Harden. Who needs Irving?

Just out of curiosity, does anyone have any idea how the league (or any league) is sustaining itself? It’s a given that attendance is down. But what about ratings?

They make their money on TV contracts. The bulk of it anyways. The cap crunch that's coming will be the result of reduced gate, but the league hasn't been reliant on butts in seats for baseline revenue for awhile.

They televise it. The bigger question is how do the folks who workED at the stadium are supporting themselves. Plus there is so much free money right now for business I am sure anyone and everyone with capital is willing to give a NBA team a loan. I’m sure the NBA will weather the storm easily and be in sunshine.

What? Why would the warriors ever trade for a ball dominant PG when Steph and Klay are on the team.

Wiggins is doing well. Everyone is talking about how he used to not care about defense and now he does. Kerr does well in bringing out the best in players. Well, except KD supposedly after what he said to Harden.
