Please help me find a specific mtb/commuter bar
I want a flat bar with sweep that does not have setback or does not bring the bars closer to me. I want the forward bend to negate the sweep so reach stays the same. 31.8mm clamp size.
This is the style of bar that comes closest, but they all seem to shorten the reach. Anything out there I am missing? https://velo-orange.com/collections/...ucts/curvy-too Thanks, Harth |

Could a longer stem achieve the same goal?

These are super-Freddy, but gives you lots of hand positions.

Yes, a longer stem could achieve that - good thinking. However, it’s an e-bike with an unusual setup: The headlight mount is part of the faceplate. So I would have to find a step with an identical faceplate bolt pattern. That seems like a lot of trial and error, but I could ask the company about it.
Those touring handlebars are crazy looking, and I did check them out, but they bring my hands way back behind the stem, and I want them in front of or even to the clamp section. I’ll check out the other options, too. The Ritchey are promising, but they look like they don’t go forward enough. Thanks for the ideas, everyone. |

I saw these - good price for Nitto quality. But that’s the only image that most sites have, so I can’t see the bend and how far back the sweep goes, unfortunately.

Not sure any of these give you what you need, but if it exists, could be in this list.

Thanks. This has been my main source so far. The Bontrager looks promising, but nobody stocks it near me. The Curve Remlaw looks ideal, but that’s very pricey with shipping.
I already bought one bar like those, which is what made me realize I need a lot of forward bend to accommodate the sweep and not bring it too far back. The other bars mentioned do not do what I need. OK, thanks for trying, folks. Maybe I just stick with my straight bar. I don’t like it, but this princess can’t find the ideal…there is always a pea in there somewhere ( with apologies for the cringeworthy metaphor ). Quote:

Pics from the internet... I used some for a summer on a family neighborhood bike I built up a decade ago- they do provide an insane number of hand positions. You can tilt em high or low too, to allow for some upright riding and also riding in the 'drops'. |

That does look interesting, but I saw another image online that showed them from the side, and the sweep definitely goes back beyond the stem. Thanks for finding that, though.
I looked at butterfly bars and don’t care for them. I contacted the company about the longer stem, so I will wait for that response. Thanks again for all the suggestions. |

Any photo of the integrated light mount stem faceplate?
Maybe it’s similar to a GoPro mount and can find a different stem or bar mount to enable using a different stem? |
