What’s it worth: vintage Alvin Drysdale restored track bike

I was given this bike by a friend who wanted me to either find an appreciative buyer or museum that would like it. This is a likely late 40s Drysdale Red Devil track bike that was ridden by his dad as a member of the North Hollywood Wheelmen from the 40s to 50s.
My friend recently had it completely refurbished to include repaint, rechrome and rebuild so it essentially looks like a new bike with some modern components - i.e. wheels – substituted for original bits. Unfortunately, it does not have the correct DT decals, nor does it have his personalized nameplate for the head tube.
I know this is probably a CR question, but anyone know an approximate value on this? I’ve been looking and there’s really nothing out there currently that is equivalent to it.
BTW: sorry about the sideways pictures and thanks in advance for any input.

Oh gosh that is pretty!

I cannot help you with the valuation. I think some collectors would rather it not have been refurbished but for someone who wants to ride it, it's a beauty.

Very nice!

With cottered cranks even. Although I know first-hand how much of a pain they can be, once they start to act up.

I would buy these decals from Ebay, Drysdale decals, dress the frame up, nice paint job and the vintage handle bar and stem are great

Just an add that Eddie is definitely the guy to talk to on this. I bought a very cool vintage track bicycle from him a few years back, and he knows everything about these machines.
