Saturday ride was cooler and dry and the Fall foliage was on display West of Burlington, WI.

Sunday was overcast with spitting rain at times so I threw some 28s on the G-road bike and hit the tarmac

Between storms

Today was s’posta rain so I slept in, and when I got up the report said it was gonna hold off until 10. So I decided to sneak in a 20 miler but took the Bob Jackson because Bob wears fenders. I kept watching the sky and about every hour looked at the local forecast using Dark Sky and kept adding bits of riding. Ended up with 61 miles and got home as it began to sprinkle!

That old bike is so effin good. Even though it's too big for me, and I use a 60mm stem on it to get my fit, it rides and handles so nicely. I wish it could take larger than 32mm tires and that I could get better braking for wet weather rides (currently it has a Paul Racer in front - it was built to take fenders with 27" rims and tires, so the 700C rims are way down there. The Racer replaced a Tektro 559.

At Menemsha, the storm pushed a bunch of the beach onto the parking lot. On North Road, a peleton of bucket trucks lined up to go out and get power back up to parts of the Island that still don't have it. It's raining off and on now, and we may get a bunch overnight, but tomorrow is supposed to be sunny!

Nice sunny day from a few weeks back. Been struggling balancing full-time work, full-time school and wanting to ride my bike as close to full-time as possible.....it is.....not easy. Gonna turn this into a SS for the fall/winter season.

Anyways here's my turquoise dream boat
