What a great time the FD is!

I had to bow out myself this year but had a friend who I already knew wanted a spot, so I transferred it to him.

I'm not on Facebook, but I thought there was a thing on there for transferring ... maybe try there?

Good luck getting your buddy in!

I have a friend in NYC who is looking to sell his registration. If you’re in need, drop me a PM.

Good. There are spots where a tow would be helpful.

I'm well aware.

LOL you're not the first one who has mentioned that.

I will be there tomorrow . . .

. . . photographing the event from a moto unless driving rain forces me into my car as at the Great North.

I drove the course this past Wednesday and the roads were dry and fast, with lots of segments that looked like they had just been freshly graded or had spots repaired. Very few bad potholes. Some on Bashford and Seven Bridges, and some big ones on the road leading on Stonewall leading out from the Beebe Hill descent.

The most hazardous place looked like the descent from Dean Hill. Lots of fresh, new, loose medium gauge gravel just recently spread out, plus a stop sign at the bottom of the long descent. Be careful!

If you see me, say hello. I'll most likely be on the moto in a red windbreaker. I'll be the only guy on a moto with a camera.

Nice photos as usual Dave,

I sure would appreciate this route more if they cut out all of that muddy single track nonsense

It's really a great ride but they have to do something with that first section.
It never dries out in May when they have the event.
Maybe in September it would be different but every time I've done it that first section is miles of mud and standing water.

Just skip the nonsense sections, very easy to do. I skip them every time I do this ride.
