Stop posting so much.
Or write very clearly "this is a public service announcement. I am not the seller, I only know what I copied and pasted below." |

I'd say anything below a 4.0 PSA is good news

![]() It should be a given in the PSA thread that anything any of us post there is a PSA. And I imagine quite a few folks here owe Charles for a purchase or two from his prodigious postings here. ![]() |

I also appreciate Charles and his PSA posts. I agree that people misunderstanding his relationship to the item for sale is somewhat inevitable but I don’t think that means he should stop sharing these PSAs.

As alluded to above, after your other posting on your recent good news, I would’ve bet you did get a lots of PSA questions. But Deals thread listings?— maybe you could gently suggest they check their own PSA.

Charles, it often looks like you're the seller when you copy and paste what the seller has written either to you or in their ad. For example in the John Knowles sale PSA, it's written: "...May 21 and 22 I will be having a bike parts and accessory sale in my driveway (see separate posting in “bike parts”). I will also have..." Your posts are appreciated by many but they are not always clear. |

Charles, I think it would help if you used the quote feature when copying someone else's post. This will help distinguish between what is your commentary and what is from the seller.

People, figure it out. Charles is Charles. He's not the seller. He's letting you know about cool bikes that others may be interested in. He's an active octogenarian. He's an institution. Respect.

I think the suggestion to use the quote function is a good one. It's not hard and would be a self-imposed solution to problem that barely exists.

Maybe less PSA’s - and maybe always post them in the psa section.

Not trying to pile on as I appreciate Charles' PSAs but the incomplete sentences and Copy/Paste style of them might be confusing to people not familiar with his posts. That said, they are in the PSA section so that should make it obvious enough.

If it's posted in the PSA thread, people should know better and I believe Charles should be able to post as much as he wants within that thread (that's what it's for).
When I'm 80 I hope I can PSA hovering eBikes in the metaverse. |

Keep PSAs in the PSA thread. Anyone who PMs directly about a PSA post is an idiot; but unfortunately we can’t fix stupid.
