Can't make it this year, but have done the Medio and Gran. Spent some time in Greenville training with Amore&Vita. It's a beautiful area and very well run event that attracts a lot of celebrities. There is a ton of support and feed zones. The climb up Skyuka is hard, but worth every second.

The wife and I are doing the medio. Did the Gran last year and wow. Some serious time in the pain cave. I would have probably signed up for that again, though 20lbs lighter would be my advantage. It is very will supported and you will want for nothing, other than Hincapie's fitness.

Looking forward to Skyuka. I did the Marmotte back in July and looking for something a bit more challenging than what we have in Rockland County NY

Agree with clyde the point. You may or may not suffer, but it's all worth it. Do all you can to get out front early. Probably too late, but next time try to stay at Hotel Domestique at the venue. And don't forget to leave the carbon clinchers at home

the package just below a stay at the hotel costs 2,500, booking a stay would be more expensive. i'd call and ask the price but figure it would be 10k easily.
