Off Brand (non Oakley) Oakley Lenses...
Are any of these brands I see selling replacement lenses for Oakley any good?

I bought a set of polarized Ikon Lenses off eBay for a set of Pit Bulls my dog got a hold of. Have to say they’re not bad at all. I’m fairly sensitive to crap lenses and these haven’t caused any issues and the price was right.

Nice to hear. I'm rather sensitive to distortion in crappy eyewear. These are pretty good in that department?

I think they are pretty decent. Any glass that isn't great will wear out its welcome within an hour or two and I've used these on road trips where I've had them on for 10+ hours and no noticeable eye fatigue.

Anyone have leads on quality ear socks? Mine are torn on a pair of radar XLJ's. |

Another Revant user. I have a pair of Racing Jackets that I needed replacement lenses for and decided to try Revant because the local Oakley store no longer stocked replacement lenses. I was aware of a few reviews saying the lenses were thinner than the Oakley lenses and I found this to be true when I first picked them up however, it has not been an issue at all after installation. I only use water to clean them after a ride and a year later they are still in the same condition as when I got them.

I'm glad you brought this up. I've been thinking about this for months now but then forgot. I can't find the yellow lenses I love for mountain biking anywhere on line except for 3rd party or in a few cases VERY expensive Oakley lenses simply because people know how rare they are I guess. I figure I may as well try them, this thread helps

Bumping this to see if any Revant lens uses can report some more long term use (and which ones you got).
My Oakley Half Jacket (1.0) could use new lenses but as many know Oakley themselves don't offer them anymore. Thinking of getting the photochromatic ones actually. Also considering them for my M-Frames (Z87) too while I was at it since they are cheaper than Oakley replacements. Looking at Clear and polarized. |
