The 266-268 dimensions are actually BB height, but you don't know what tire radius was assumed. The chart that I have with the 620x590 dimensions came right from a Colnago catalog.

I have others that show a 620x585 with a 185 HT, but significantly shorter 410 chainstay and and 609 front center.

Anybody has early c40 geometry chart?

Exactly, those quite large differences are the confusing part between various charts floating around. And given how they’re made, small differences do exist, headtube lengths can vary a bit even in today’s c64’s, and they don’t take into account the width of the headset cup flanges, which adds another 5mm to the whole affair.

And yes, I realize those numbers of 266 etc are for BB height, not drop. Easy enough to get the actual drop by taking the difference between wheel center height and BB height, thus eliminating the tire size variable.

Thanks again. Would it be too much trouble to take a snap of that geo chart and post it here? It’s from the 2008 catalog? Perhaps a pic of the front of the catalog as well? I think I know which one it is.
The particular frame I have in hand corresponds to the 185mm headtube, but the top tube is definitely 590mm, not 585. It’s like they were in transition as to how they were measuring things. I know it happened sometime, but I never knew when that was. Perhaps when they started doing sloping frame’s. It’s a gray area.

Even better. Is it still a downloadable file? I didn’t know they had them up there, in an archive somewhere?

Interesting... 135 front tube is not to be seen in any table

Wonder if the model is old enough to follow the 40th anniversary table posted, that one doesnt have front tube size.

there are variations.

i have a 61cm C40-mk4...and the HT is shorter than what appears in the table.

i chock it up to the vagaries of artisanal frame construction.

Smoke from the cigarette dangling from the lip sometimes gets in the eyes and the tube is cut a little differently.
