Tickr & Garmin HRM straps

From the pictures I see of the Tickr, it looks like the HRM holds the strap together. Will it fit onto Garmin straps? Are they compatible at all? I killed my Garmin HRM & was thinking of going Wahoo, but I have 3 good straps I hate to waste.

I have both and they are not compatible. As you suggested the wahoo monitor holds the strap together.

The transmitter on my Tickr strap snaps onto my chest band.
It also will snap onto the Garmin straps that I still have-

Ok, now I'm confused. So yours will snap on to a garmin strap & read fine?

Interesting. I had not expected them to play nice. It's $20 cheaper, too.
