and has sent it off to jb for spiderman paint...
modified sachs singer lugs that accomodate a level tt
and much more bike than i have under me typically
based on his fit recommendations
and my measurements

Looks cool! What colors will the paint be?

BTW - You better let Dave know he has some lint on the lens / mirror of his camera.

Nice to see the photos out in the real world - thanks for posting them.

Yes there is stuff in the camera and these photos were the first with the mystery stuff. I have some cleaning to do.

A small correction - I've used the Singer lugs in the past but the JK Cross now uses a horizontal top tube version of the same lugs I use on the JK Special road bike and these lugs are offered by Dazza Llewellyn of Australia. Top shelf stuff with just the look I want to match the JKS.

I look forward to seeing what JB does for you.

Dave

Very nice -- some cool detail shots, but what I really like is the photo of the whole thing.

So . . . if it's just gone off for paint, I guess this is for next season?

i was hoping for a glorious winter snow ride with studded snow tires
...like, say on my birthday at the close of 2010...
(so possibly yet this year)
the day i got permission from my wife
to get on dave's waiting list in the first place!

sorry about the lug misinformation, dave...
glad you're here to help me get it right!
i'm not sure i've had more fun with a project before
as many on this forum have said
the process is worth it...
finding a builder
getting in line
and enjoying the process is really something.

--makes me think of a chapter in a book i have residents read
called the healer's calling
'medicine: the art of being uncertain'
and the four principles of a spiritual retreat:
'show up, be honest, listen and give up the outcome'

Smile dave, i wonder if these are the very same lugs

Dazza told me when I bought 'my fixie'/llewellyn
That the sale was going to fund a 'new lug project'--
Seems poetic that one of those lugs
Would be going into my new kirk as the first bike
With a lug from this very same project??
...If it's not true don't tell me...
It is too nice to think that the bikes are so nicely connected!
