Breadwinner Lolo

This project was a long time in the making, but came about rapidly. I was previously riding a Cielo, which sadly got destroyed in a hit-and-run on the same day Chris King announced they were ceasing production of the Cielo line. I spent a few weeks deciding how to go about replacing it before settling on Breadwinner. The Lolo is a great complement to my Zank ‘cross bike. East coast/West coast. Alu/steel.

I opted for a cleaner look than the stock paint job, which included a few more stripes/panels. All external routing, all mechanical.

Columbus Life, if I remember correctly. They change things up for bigger bikes, rider weight, all the usual suspects. I opted for the oversized head tube for aesthetic reasons.

It’s Breadwinner’s stock gray color. I don’t know any more than that, I’m afraid. And I’m surprised I haven’t seen more of bikes in that color - it’s just right.

I like that quite a bit and go back and forth between this and something w a little more metallic blue or a bright coca-cola red. Got a Zanc that’s incoming soon so keep looking for inspiration.

Never thought about this but could be interesting! Not sure how I feel about teal but it could work with the other two colors.

If they're doing a road bike called the "Lolo", it seems they should call their cross bike the "Lola".

Lovely gray color on a clean, simple bike. Looks great.
