Tail light that goes the distance?

Last few rides have been in crap weather with crap visibility; prefer to leave the tail light on in blink mode in these conditions. My nice compact little Blackburn gives up after about 4-5 hours max from fully charged.

What is a decent light that has about a 9 hour charge in lowest power/blink mode?

Rechargeable preferred over needing aaa’s or something.

Does a 30 hour flash time work?

Bontrager flare.

Bought one after riding a 10-hour gravel race with a friend and his light kept blinking the entire ride.

why rule out aaa?
i have a PDW danger zone.
its 6 years old. survived all season riding. still going strong.
battery life the amazing in all modes.

rechargeable aaa's are cheap online. just have a fresh pair in the spare tools kit if youre worried about it dying mid ride.

+1. This is what I have. Replaced a NiteRider taillight that could barely last 5 hrs.

At the risk of sounding like a nanny I have to suggest that if visibility is so bad that you want a tail light maybe you should have the brightest one available?

+1 - just bought the new Bontrager Flare RT - supposed to last over 12+ hrs and have some cool tech...

I've been very dissatisfied w my Cygolite - paid like $50 for it and it barely lasts 4-5hrs on day-flash.

I've been using Planet Bike Superflash lights for many years. They last a long time on rechargeable Sanyo Eneloop AAA batteries. If I'm on a tour I carry two of them, with spare batteries.

The Dinotte Quad lists 16 hrs at slow-low strobe. I've not run mine that deep, but have done two 4+ hr rides on a single charge with no issue.
