Beacon, NY
Heading there for a family thing over the weekend of the 11th.
Any decent riding? Happy to go road or gravel, typically ride at a B or BB pace. If anyone knows of shop rides, paths, or local routes please weigh in. Cheers |

Did this ride last weekend. Great mixed surface ride. Lots of climbing!

There's a very nice paved trail that runs from Hopewell Junction (an easy ride from Beacon on Routes 52 & 82) to the Walkway Across the Hudson and then into Ulster County. It's a short ride from the end of the trail to New Paltz. There are some good roads on the west side of the river that get you back to the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge.
PM me if you'd like me to send you an idea for a loop.

Have to agree with Dsteiker you will be treated with some nice mixed surface roads especially Indian brook road and sunken mine road some of our favorite gravel sections in the area, can't go wrong here!!!
