I got a different account from Doriano of how much Campy production still takes place in Italy. I can't think of them as Italian through and through unless there's a skilled Italian worker standing in front of a machine or workbench cranking out the components in Italy. I concede this is a nostalgic image.
Google 'picture of Campagnolo factory', and they still have quite a large factory and company headquarters in Vicenza..yes, stuff made in Romania but still..

But, hay, if you've got the cash or want to wax nostalgic (nostalgia as opposed to aesthetics)....
I'm using 32 mm tires?

For the record Dario does offer a steel fork option.

I can understand wanting the steel fork for the BIXXIS....I'd be in the same boat.

Yes indeed. Kirk's steel fork was originally going to go on the Peg, but then Dario told me he'd build me one so I moved it on over to the Prima, after Doriano gave me the thumbs up.

Cheers.

Spent some time with Doriano and Martina at NAHBS a few years back. Super nice folks. Super chill.

I LOVE this bike (not mine) so gorgeous: https://www.169k.net/blog/welding-the-ride

So how would you describe the ride differences between Pego and Bixxis?

I wouldn't know personally but I bet they are both much better off that they never went to any art school.
