BTLOS Double Lock
Having purchased a new set of wheels for my friend, I’m getting the itch for myself. Has anyone tried the double lock hubs from BTLOS? Are they as reliable as DT Swiss ratchet system? Can the carbon spokes be replaced if you break one? What’s the ride feel like? Dropping 100g on a 50mm Wheelset is neat.
My current Wheelset is one I hand built using gunmetal onyx hubs (I used to mountain bike frequently, before I moved to DC), laced to a wavy Chinese carbon rim. The color of the hubs makes them look snazzy an a titanium frame, but for their performance they are probably quite heavy. It would be nice to have a decent Wheelset to compare against. Maybe I’ll end up liking my own Wheelset the same, but at least then I’d know Edit; Also, sales? Does BTLOS run sales very often? Black Friday? Any others? I own three BTLOS wheelsets. I thought about the carbon spoke wheels, but they cost a lot more and require rim strips. I hate rim strips, so all of my wheels have no spoke access holes.
If you setup an account and put some wheels in your cart, they may contact you with at least a free freight offer that saves $110. I always buy with free freight.
