I also got those specialized stix for pedaling around the neighborhood.
Not wrong just outdated, heavy, not as bright and less run times. I had most of those lights. The l&m taillight especially has competition that weighs almost nothing and mount cleaner or garmin Radar has been transformative for me.

I got the GoPro attachments for the front lights which have kept my handlebars clean.. The partner uses the regular handle bar mount. I didn't realize they were that outdated with run times. Weight wasn't really a factor since I'm fat lard these days but I should of done more research... I had thoughts about the rear radar but if I get rear ended I'm dead anyway and seeing notification on the Garmin would probably give me too much anxiety. I also just mounted to saddle to keep it off my post.

This seems like a great price for a name brand light

Marginal gains most likely! Unless you need lights for dark up front, bontrager flare rt/ion 200 are tiny cubes that are very visible that can be controlled by the Garmin automatically turning on and off when you start/stop your ride.

Hey OP ā€” I bought one based on your recommendation. I like it a lot, though it took a minute to figure out how to get it into flash mode. For kicks, I also bought their red blinking tail light - similar to bontrager rt 200. Like that too.

Glad to hear it! I had the same challenge finding flash, and leave it in that mode now upside down on the GoPro mount. Iā€™m happy with the setup and it is visible from far away.

Update 16mar2024: tested with benchtop power supply at 3.7V resulting in green button light on, and out-front LED working as well. Then used the 21700 cell (at 4.1V charge) which now also works. Will update if future unexplained failures occur.

Update 15mar2024: failed 5 months after purchase, less than 20 hours use. Company service has gone silent on emails about warranty.

Marketing claims 800 lumens, but there are lies, damn lies, and marketing. I've had 5 hour runtime actual at some lower lumen output. $34 on AliExpress, somewhat more on Amazon.

Tough! This(Lumintop) is my daily driver light for the commute. I'm a month and a half in, 1.5 hrs daily. I'll report back if I have issues.

If you can suffer without an StVZO headlight, Light & Motion is still selling their Vis 500 for under $30, probably while supplies last.

I bought a couple extra 21700 and a charger, perhaps a new cell would solve this problem for you.

My Lumintop B01 is still doing fine. My first one through Amazon that came with a battery pooped on me right away and I returned it. Second one through AE plus batteries that were recommended by some flashlight fanatics on their forum are performing without issue.

That was particularly important when running 80/100 watt H4 bulbs in ecode headlamps.

Good to hear. I tried several other cells before it was revived on my electronics bench. It now works fine with the Lumintop branded cell as well as other cells I trust more: Samsung 50E INR 21700 5000mAh 3.7V High-Drain 10A Lithium Ion (Li-ion) Unprotected Flat Top Battery

Would this be a reasonable light for night road riding or would you want brighter?

I have one of these but haven't used it extensively. Need to find a light for my girlfriend and might give her mine as well as a spare.

I found toggling through modes a bit annoying on this style of light to be honest.

Beam pattern is very important for riding at night, especially riding off road. I kinda doubt a cheap light does very good in that arena, even though it may be bright.
