Best Saddle Bag -- who makes it?

Agree with this. I've tried and own a bunch of different bags and the ILE All Mountain seat bag is currently doing double duty as I switch it back and forth between my gravel and MTB bike. The design is just right and you don't notice it being there when you don't want to. It's easy to get it to stay snug against the seat. It never comes lose. It comes in black.

I have a Silca bag on my road bike. It's a little bit of trouble and I've learned how to ratchet it down and position it so it doesn't flip. Also comes in black.

I've given up on most roll bags. They're hip and trendy but way too much trouble to repack during a ride.

I recommend ILE.

Green guru works and will do the job. Recycled/upcycled materials are their specialty. I bought a larger one at a bike show and surprising they don't sell it anymore.

constantly imitated, but nothing comes close to a yanco bag. the best out there. hands down.

Hey oldfatslow--thanks for this thread--a saddle bag is not my specific goal but this is a great list of suggestions for bag makers.

(if I ran a porteur rack I'd be all over the ILE front bag)

I think yanco is one of the “originals”? I had one, its good but not better than anything else out there. Just a tool roll, not much to it.

I have had probably 10 saddle bags/rolls. My favorite was the ile. I prefer a small bag over a roll, rolls are annoying since you have to unwrap all that crap, with a bag you open the flap, take what you want on on you go.

I'm a big fan of the Plan B saddle bag from the guys over at skingrowsback. Just big enough for a CO2, tube, multitool, and tirelever. I can also squeeze in a car/house key.

The thing about the yanco roll is that i can cinch it down nice and tight...I have one on a couple of bikes. The same with the Outer Shell with the Voile Strap it's made with.

Although the ILE is the easiest to pack and repack, i did not like the buckle system. Never felt like i could get it tight enough or it seemed to loosen up.
