Yes, Mark DiNucci’s work is magnificent and so clean:







He also designed the lugs including the cool looking X-bridge for the Specialized 40th Anniversary Allez frameset:





The paint on the 40th Anniversary Allez looks a little heavy and thick. But Mark has the lugs and can build you a similar frameset.

I recently bought an early 80s frame built by Bernie Mikkelsen. Beautifully crafted. He's been building since the mid 70s and is apparently still going. Never heard of him before either, but the workmanship is impeccable.

Here are photos from a previous owner. Haven't taken my own yet.

I have a Mikkelsen mtb frame bought new in 94. Superbly welded. D+D cycles painted.
