[Coming soon!] Or bike parts we've been waiting on for ages

So I don't know about anyone else, but I find from time to time I'm just waiting on a part to be released. Sometimes it's something I heard was in the works, or other times it's been something were I thought, "Man, _______ would be a good idea" and then a few months later someone has gone and done it.

Right now I'm waiting hopefully for a carbon Thomson road seatpost with 25mm setback. Rumor has been that they've been working on these, but who knows. It seems like it's been a few years now. Even Bikerumor talked about it a ways back.

Something like this:

What are you waiting for?

32mm slick gravel kings
41mm small knob gravel kings

177.5mm Praxis cranks (not so much waiting on these as lamenting the fact that they were announced, then quietly removed from the site when the cranks came out)

I know when I've asked the Thomson guys at races here and there I've been told they're working on it and generally it should be ready the next road season. I think that's been the case since 2012 or 2013. Spoke to a buddy of mine about it a couple weeks ago and he said he had heard August this year, but I won't believe it till I see it.

A 450-500g, 25mm wide, 36h rim for rim brakes.

Does the new Thomson setback post mean my fugly Thomson "bent" setback post will become a valuable collectors item ?

The new one is 25mm setback. Your bent one is around 15mm I believe.

I can't imagine it really takes this long to finalize the post, except that they don't want to commit the resources to it. If they really wanted to bring it to market, it'd take them a few months, max, and then a few more to build up inventory. They're a (relatively speaking) small company with other interests, so the desire may not really be there to get the 25mm version produced.

I'm waiting impatiently for the Rotor hydraulic groupset so I can get on with wishing I could afford it.
