If this were the only bike I could ever have, I’d be completely happy with that. As much I like steel, my pick would be my No22. It’s the most balanced and the total package to me. |

Firefly, picked up here early this year. Nicest bike I've ever ridden.

It would be a knife fight between the speedvagen and my dekerf. Only thing is they are two totally different animals with two totally different uses.
The speedvagen has put me in a position that just feels right and confident on the road. Going fast, or at least feeling fast is what it does well and inspires confidence. The dekerf, even though it has 26 inch wheels and old school geometry just rides right in the woods. I am not a burly hucker guy, just like to ride at a nice pace in the woods, so it is great. Plus it is pulls a trailer with my daughter around the neighbourhood really well. |

It’s being rebuilt a little differently this week, but my 1984 Schwinn Le Tour when it was 1x11 Shimano and 404/808 Zipp tubulars. Such a comfortable ride and still as fast as I ever need l needed to go.

When I first saw the question, my first thought was "for what?" But there's that pesky rule...
So being that my background as a rider is roadie first, then it'll have to be this one: My own build. Built around 650c wheels (don't care what you say, I like how they respond), a Kestrel EMS fork, and took some liberties for lighter weight (which I don't normally do). High trail, stable, all-day riding. |

Since it's a frame I built myself, it's hard to say how much of my affection for its ride quality is bias and how much is due to the fact that I built it to be just what I want. I ride this in rotation with a number of frames built by other people, which I also like, but there's something about this one that I really dig.
