Interesting eBay Auctions

This seller looks to be doing something shady. Money laundering maybe? He's got cycling items up for sale for crazy prices and they have a "1 sold, only one left" notation. Crazy stuff.

I'm going to guess the key words are "make an offer".

So strange, so absurd that no one would even offer a bid. I fail to see why the guy is going to this trouble. What’s his angle?

A flurry of suspicious eBay listing popped up over the last few weeks. They all seemed similar in style to these though it was clear from the description that the "seller" wanted you to complete the transaction outside eBay. Again, the accounts in question had 100% positive ratings in the several thousands. They had clearly been hacked.

These three seem similar, though the admonition to deal the deal outside eBay is less obvious. My guess is that anyone contacting the "seller" will be given an outside link to conclude the sale/fleecing.

I will happily sell those items for half that price, just sayin'. Send me a PM.

I just finished reading LeCarré's last book, Silverview, and eBay auctions play a role. I will say no more.
