Chainrings for Cane Creek Eewings

Any recommendations out there for a 46/30 chainring setup for use with All Road Eewings?

Open to specific paired ring suggestions that might work well with Cane Creeks spider, as well as other direct mount options, if there are any.

Thanks folks.
Daniel in Northern VT.

I was just thinking about posting this same question here. The only 110bcd 46/30 rings I’m aware of are the bikingreen on eBay. I’ve always been a little leery of them so have stuck with praxis 48/32.

I purchased the bikingreen 46/30 ringset recently, but have yet to install it on a spider and mount it. Nicely machined. Not sure how flex-resistant it will be given the unconventional mounting bolt hardware. Going to be a while before I get it mounted and out for a ride. Will share info after.

PS. Ordered via Amazon with Jan 30 2022 return option.

I believe Drew Guldalian is a forum member, you might reach out to him about plans he may have to machine some more of these:

Those subcompact+ Sugino rings look like they might be the ticket for use with the CC spider.

Anyone know a good source for them independent of the Sugino crank?

Unless you’re referring to different Sugino sc+ rings, they require dissimilar bcd’s - 110 & 74. The Cane Creek spider (2x) is 110 only.

I got my replacement rings from the Soma Fab shop, the retail front
for Merry Sales.

The Sugino OX 110bcd rings have the chainring counter sink on the back,
like a middle ring of a triple.

I'm guessing it was probably a typo, I think he was referring to the Engin spider I posted - which I'd really recommend checking in with Drew about!

But, yeah, a bike shop can get you those rings from Merry Sales.

I've got the CC eeWings and while they're not 46-30, I've mounted 48-32 Absolute Black (oval) to the Cane Creek spider. Here

These are so nice, but I know my heel would rub through it quickly. Seem to get more heel rub with the eewings.

Whoa -- I need more than a small towel to wipe up my keyboard/workspace! Some don't strike my fancy, but many almost made me cry tears of amazement.

Follow on...

Engin/Wissahickon expecting to make another run of spiders in Spring. No more ring sales - not enough volume. TA rings recommended in addition to Sugino.

Have you already checked what Pete White carries in 110 from TA? See some of the selection:

I own several of his center lock lockrings and they are a beauty!
